Dr. Yasser Zaghloul

I started my career in anesthesia and critical care medicine since 1989. I have been trained in Alexandria University hospitals. I obtained Master degree in Anesthesia in 1991 from Alexandria University - Egypt. I continued my training in Ireland and I obtained Fellowship in Anesthesia in 2004 from the College of Anesthetists, Dublin -Ireland. Also, I obtained a Medical Doctorate degree in Anesthesiology from Ain Shams University, Cairo - Egypt.

I am very interested in academic and teaching activities, I delivered more than 200 lectures in anesthesia, critical care and acute pain management. I am joining most of the national and regional anesthesia meetings and conferences.

I am lecturer and instructor in many critical care courses e.g. Fundamentals Critical Care adults and pediatric courses, Mechanical Ventilation course, Emergency Neurological Life Support course, Critical Care Nephrology course, Airway Management course, Intensive Care Hepatology Course and Multi-professional Critical Care Review course.

I am the founder and coordinator of Abu Dhabi Anesthesia Club which is a monthly meeting for the anesthesiologists, pain and intensive care physicians. Also, I am organizing an annual meeting (Anesthesia Refresher Course) which focus on the perioperative medicine.

My personnel clinical interests are:
- Pediatric and neuroanesthesia.
- Perioperative medicine.
- Enhanced Recovery After Surgery.
- Acute pain management, opioids free analgesia.
- Surgical and neurocritical care.
- Implanting and setting guidelines, protocols and strategies for anesthesia and pain practice.
